The Malcolm Wilson Rally kicked off a busy month for Spadeadam members. Peter Taylor started his season off with 49^th OA (3^rd in class), Caroline Lodge navigated Dave Edwards in his Astra to 58^th OA (4^th in class), Phil & Caroline Jobson finished 62^nd OA (5^th in class) following being late at MTC. Epynt followed for Peter finishing 29^th (1^st in class). Border Counties saw Peter Taylor’s good form continue with 28^th Overall and winning his class. Barry & Michael Lindsay had a gravel outing finishing 37^th OA (4^th in class). Phil Jobson & Jerry Hettrick retired when the gearbox stuck in 4^th gear at the start of SS2. Allan Cathers went OTL during the event. At Three Sisters racetrack Nigel Hepburn & James McWhir finished 27^th OA (5^th in class).

Nigel Hepburn & James McWhir finished 39^th (5^th in class) in the North west stages at Blackpool. The same event saw retirements for both Barrie Thomson & Jerry Hettrick with suspension failure & Tim Finch who retired his Subaru with driveshaft failure. On the Riponian Phil Jobson & Caroline Lodge struggled in the treacherous conditions, an off saw them go OTL.

Keith Taylor was out on the first rally of the year at Knockhill. Keith struggled in Peter’s Fiesta on the sever snow conditions. Bringing the car home in 12^th OA (5^th in Class) On the Jack Frost Stages at Croft, Barry & Michael Lindsay recovered to 11^th OA (2^nd in class) after some incorrect tyre choices! Chris Taylor & Stuart Egglestone finished 13^th (4^th in class) despite a time penalty. Geoffrey Harkness & Caroline Lodge were 33^rd (5^th in class). Barrie Thomson & Jerry Hettrick were 39^th (8^th in class), Richard Clark & James McWhir were 57^th (15^th in class)
