Rally Results (May 2014.)

HamsterleyPhil Jobson took his Mk1 to 27th Overall and 2nd in class on the popular event, which was a round of the R.A.C Historic Championship. Barry & Michael Lindsay retired after hitting a tree in the Modern section in the 206.

Pirelli (Saturday)Peter Taylor wheeled the Focus back out of the garage. A puncture dented their hopes of a win. They finished 3rd Overall. Darren Martin & Martin Steele took their Evo to 7th OA while in the Historic event Phil & Caroline Jobson finished 17th OA while the similar machine of Rob Graham & Helen Gibbon retired with fuel / engine problems.
Pirelli (Sunday)Peter avoided any punctures and took the Clubman section win. John McIlwraith brought his immaculate Mk2 out and finished 9th OA.

Manx. Peter Taylor was back out, but into his Fiesta in tarmac trim but got caught out when a stage was delayed It rained and he was on slicks! The off into a bank caused Peter & Andrew to need medical attention. Pleased to report they were both released after being checked.

Rally Results (April 2014)

InglistonBarry & Michael Lindsay took the 106 to 10th Overall 1st in class. Geoffrey Harkness & Caroline Lodge took the corsa to 31st Overall (8th in class).  Nigel Hepburn took the Clio to 43rd Overall 15th in class.

Circuit of Ireland – Peter took the Fiesta now in tarmac trim & with a 2.4 engine. Sadly a good run came to a halt with broken driveshaft.

 

Rally Results (March 2014)

Malcolm WilsonBarry & Michael Lindsay took the 206 to 27th O/A 1st in class. Caroline Lodge navigated Jimmy Hall to 40th O/A 2nd in class. Mark Galloway & Kyle Gass finished 53rd O/A, 11th in class and Rob Graham & Helen Gibbon took the historic Mk1 to Helen’s first rally award. 59th O/A, 3rd in class & Best prepared car. Not having such a good day, were Darren Martin & Martin Steele who broke a driveshaft at the start of Wythop then lost the rear wheel and retired on the spot. James Coxon was navigating Mark Shaw but they also broke a halfshaft on the Sunbeam in Wythop.

Border CountiesPeter Taylor debuted his new s2000 Fiesta finishing 9th O/A despite a jump start. Darren Martin / Martin Steele finished 29th O/A 17th in class in the Evo. John McIlwraith finished 37th O/A 6th in class in his Mk2. Phil & Caroline Jobson retired the MK1 with clutch cable failure. Rory Young and Allan Cathers also retired.

Stockport MC Weeton StagesTim Finch took his Subaru and fought off WRC cars to win the event by over a minute. Nigel Hepburn & Richard Clark were there with the Renault Clio but retired at mid point.

Rally Results (December 2013)

GrizedaleBarry & Michael Lindsay finished 12th Overall, 2nd in class. Darren Martin with Dan Hurst (replacing the injured Martin Steele) finished just 1 sec behind in 13th Overall (9th in class). James Coxon was navigating Mark Shaw and finished 14th (3rd in class). Mark Goodfellow & Kyle Gass brought the hired Subaru home in 28th Overall (14th in class)

Christmas StagesBarry & Michael Lindsay finished 12th Overall and won the class. Geoffrey Harkness & Caroline Lodge finished 33rd Overall 5th in class. Peter Taylor retired while battling for the lead with a throttle body motor failure.

Rally Results (November 2013)

Galloway HillsDarren Martin & Martin Steele finished 25th 18th in class on there first forest outing in there new evo. Mark Galloway & Pete Johnson Retired with gearbox / diff problems.

RACJonathon Lodge navigated Jim Valentine to 26th Overall (2nd in class) Phil Jobson retired the newly built Mk1 after rolling in Craik. Darren Martin & Martin Steele retired from the Clubman rally with gear selection problems, in order to take part in the Return Challenge and finished 7th Overall (4th in class).

MerrickCaroline Lodge teamed up with Rachel Clark as part of the Rally to Raise team in the Micra. Finishing 43rd Overall and 2nd in class.

PendragonPeter Taylor took his 3rd Win of the year. Barry & Michael Lindsay took 7th Overall and won their class, Geoffrey Harkness & Caroline Lodge got 21st (4th in class) Darren Martin & Martin Steele tested a recently acquired Evo, but retired with brake problems. David Hope & Fiona Gourlay retired after stage 1 with a damaged radiator after hitting a bale at the split.

Rally Results (August 2013)

The Solway coast rally saw Darren Martin & Martin Steele take there Subaru Impreza to 15th OA (9th in class) while Mark Goodfellow & Peter Johnson took the TF Rallyesport KA to 31st OA (5th in class). The same weekend saw Peter Taylor finish 4th OA  (2nd in class) in the Focus on the Tyneside Stages, ahead of Barry & Michael Lindsay who were 12th OA (1st in class). On the Speyside Caroline Lodge navigated Rachel Clark to 64th OA in the Micra.

Rally Results (July 2013)

Scottish Rally saw Peter Taylor finish 8th O/a (8th in class). Rory Young & Allan Cathers took the Evo to 24th O/a (3rd in class), Darren Martin & Martin Steele to the Impreza to 35th O/a (25th in Class), Caroline Lodge finished 52nd O/a (2nd in class) with Rachel Clark in the Micra.

Turnbull Trophy, Peter Taylor scored his second event win of the year with victory in the Focus at the disused airfield. Caroline Lodge Navigated Jim Sharp to 8th Overall (6th in class), Barry & Michael Lindsay retired with poorly car.

Greystoke, Barry Lindsay & Caroline Lodge took a class win & 18th Overall on the first loose event with the 206. James Coxon navigated Mark Shaw to 2nd in class 23rd Overall. Darren Martin & Martin Steele borrowed a Ka and got 39th OA (5th in class). David Coleman & Kyle Gass got 42nd Overall (7th in class), George Edminson & Pete Johnson got 43rd Overall (8th in class) on Georges first ever rally.

Rally Results (June 2013)

Missed from last month, Barrie Thomson & Jerry Hettrick took the 106 down to 3 Sisters and came away with 9th Oa (5th in class).

Jim Clark Rory Young & Allan Cathers finished 6th O/a and won their class on the National Event, but on the Reivers on the Sunday they Retired. Jerry Hettrick’s event never really got started when the cam belt snapped on the Shakedown. Peter Taylor took the Border Caravans DS3 to 9th O/a (8th in class). Richard Hortin crashed out with George Morrison in the Challenge .

On the Dmack Carlisle Stages, Peter Taylor returned to his winning ways with the Focus returned to his hands he took the win. Ex BRC champion Tapio Laukanen & Glenn Patterson in a Mk2 took 14th Oa (8th in class). Darren Martin & Martin Steel took 24th Oa (4th in class) on their home event – any nearer they would be servicing in their garage! Caroline Lodge navigated James Hall to 36th Oa (2nd in class). Clive Alcock and Richard Hortin retired due to hitting a tree.
